Businesses have an opportunity to free up some time by making use of managed security solutions, according to an expert.
A Frost & Sullivan analyst made the comment after research by the organisation revealed that the US managed security services market is expected to continue to grow over the coming months.
The report suggested that organisations are keen to tackle potential security issues, particularly as the range of threats becomes increasingly complex.
Discussing the findings, the analyst said: "Despite budget cutbacks due to the economic slowdown, companies are continuing to implement measures to ensure 24/7 protection and security.
"Outsourcing security to a managed security services provider will free up time for organisations to focus on core business processes."
John Sawyer of DarkReading.com recently suggested that companies can also reduce their outgoings by making use of managed security solutions.
He explained that as equipment is held at an external data centre, there a few capital costs.
