New security portal for VPN devices launched

A new platform aimed at boosting the security of virtual private network (VPN) resources and cloud networks has been launched by SecureAuth. Bosses at the firm have suggested the SecureAuth IEP 6.2 boosts the protection of professional networks when being accessed by devices such as smartphones.

Co-founder and chief technology officer at the company Garret Grajek believes the growing popularity of smartphones and media tablets has meant that businesses have had to constantly ensure their networks are not at risk. "As employees bring their iPads and iPhones to work and access applications, these devices bring new threats to the network," he remarked.

Mr Grajek also suggested that firms are always looking for ways to speed up the process of building out their portals for remote and mobile users. A growing number of enterprises are increasingly concerned about network protection and prime minister David Cameron recently revealed that online hackers and scammers are costing the UK £27 billion every year.
